Celebrate the Joy of Reading!

Join us this year as we try for a new goal of 25,000 hours of reading.  Our goal can easily be met if each child reads for 20 minutes a day for five days a week.  Each classroom teacher will tell you how to record the time spent reading.  Staff members and parents are invited to turn in the time they spend reading each month.  All reading will count whether it is in school or at home.  Classroom reading times, homework in a textbook, or pleasure reading will count toward our goal. 

Two special events will be planned this year for those students who are reading and contributing toward our goal of 25,000 hours.  Be  sure your totals get turned in each week.  Teachers will tabulate the times once a month.

Below you will find links to our reading forms, including Reading Recommendations and Fun Fact Friday.  Students who submit these forms may be selected to appear on our Morning News program.  Parents are welcome to turn in a reading log to their child's teacher.
