Dear Parent/Guardian:

 

            As I am sure you are aware, school districts across South Carolina were faced with drastic budget cuts this past year which forced the implementation of cost containment measures. Although we hope the State’s economy will gradually turn around, we know that will not be an overnight process. Given that fact, we have decided to implement student enrollment fees for the students of Lexington School District Two effective with the 2009-2010 school year. The fees will be as follows:

 

                        $50.00 for high school students

                        $25.00 for middle school students

                        $15.00 for elementary school students

 

            These fees will be due as your student enters school in August. In closing, we regret that this budget measure is necessary and we hope to eventually be in a financial position to revisit school enrollment fees.
